Since Shillelagh does not affect magic items, I took Vow of Poverty to get around that. She feels a rage and confusion building in her that she doesnt understand but she tries her best to. My first plan was Human Druidic Avenger4/Ftr16. It has a HUGE start up time to get good, but once he is going, he is very fun. You cant combine Booming Blade with Primal Savagery. They get to add a d4 to every attack roll and saving throw for the 1 minute duration of the spell, which for a first level spell is fantastic! Not only is it mechanically powerful, but it really emulates that “holy protection in the hour of need” vibe that people associate with the Cleric and Paladin. I have always thought that shillelagh was a fantastic spell, so recently I decided to make a Shillelagh druid. Finally, Shillelagh lets you incorporate things into the build that work with weapon attacks, which are far more abundant - for example, every Shillelagh build Ive ever seen picks up Booming Blade.

I’m not going to touch on every class, so if I skip your favorite spell or class feel free to shout at me in the comments so I can cover it later.īless is a Cleric and Paladin exclusive spell, that allows you to temporarily bolster up to three of your allies in combat. There are also a lot of first level spells that fit the mold of a Class Feature, and while this isn’t meant to be a Class Feature bible, I also don’t want to skip anything that’s particularly relevant. There are a LOT of first level spells, which makes sense given how many first level spell slots an adventuring party can go through. The best use of it is actually for, say, a Nature Domain cleric, since it stacks with their attack scaling and uses their attack stat, or an Arcana Cleric who picks it up with a feat and uses it with greenflame blade, or even better, a Bard who picks up both shillelagh and greenflame blade with Additional Magical Secrets and uses them together.
